Hiring Playgroup
Playgroup is available to hire during the weekend or public holidays (4 hour slots – 8.30am-12.30pm or 1-5pm), for both members and non-members - so feel free to tell your friends and family.
Playgroup is a great place to host childrens' birthday parties, host a catch up with your antenatal group/coffee group, or hold another family or community event.
We have an awesome outdoor playground, including a water table and sandpit, and inside we have a number of toys, books, puzzles, slides, ride on toys - even a roller coaster! The Playgroup toys are designed for ages 5 and under. Sandpit toys are locked in the shed opposite the sandpit. The key is on the key ring just inside the front door. Feel free to use these, but please remember to return to the shed after use and lock the shed.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, hot water zip, coffee plungers and limited cutlery and serving items. There are a number of children's tables and chairs and some limited adult seating. You need to supply your own tea, coffee, milk, food and we suggest you supply your own paper plates and cups etc as crockery and utensils are limited.
The playgroup can hold no more than 25 children (plus caregivers) at a time for weekend parties and a maximum of 50 people (including babies).
The hire is for 4 hours - 8.30am - 12.30pm or from 1pm – 5pm.
Cost
It’s $50 for members and $65 for non-members. Payment is required at the time of booking via online banking and is not confirmed until we have received payment.
Please note the following cancellation policy. If a booking is cancelled during the week before the booking, there will be no refund and full payment for the room hire will be required. If a booking is cancelled 8-14 days before the booking, 50% payment of the room hire will be required. Bookings cancelled 3 weeks or more from the booking will be refunded the cost paid minus a non refundable $10 cancellation fee. If a booking needs to be changed to another date, this can be done at no extra cost if it is two weeks or more from the booking date. Bookings moved within the two weeks prior to the booking date will incur an extra 50% room hire fee, in addition to the full room hire rate for the new date.

You are required to remove all your rubbish (including bathroom rubbish and party decorations) from the premises as we have limited wheelie bin space. Please take it home and do not leave on the street, even if in Council rubbish bags. You must leave the playgroup in a clean and tidy state. This includes vacuuming the floors, wiping down the tables and bench tops, putting on the dishwasher if required and putting furniture and toys back where they belong ready for the next party. There is a vacuum cleaner in the storeroom, beside the kitchen. Broom and mop (if necessary) are in the kitchen.
There is a heat pump on the wall – feel free to use, please remember to turn off when you leave.
Please note that we have a no pets policy so please do not bring any animals onto playgroup property.
NO SMOKING allowed on the premises (this includes outside).
Do not attempt to enter the Town Hall (upstairs next to inside slide). Entering the Town Hall may cause the alarms to go off.
Please be considerate of our neighbours and try to keep noise down while outside.
Playgroup is often fully booked at the weekend, with booking in both the morning and the afternoon so please consider others who will be using the facilities after you and ensure you leave the premises and return the key on time and return the key.
If there are any problems, or any damage to toys, property, etc please notify us.
PLEASE NOTE – If the room is damaged, equipment missing or rooms not cleaned to a satisfactory standard, then there will be a minimum charge of $50 to cover costs.
